This one-day workshop will introduce new ways to explore color and color mixing.
Using real world references, my innovative but simple method will help retrain the brain to interpret color more accurately. This in-depth session will include: setup, discussion about tools and materials, color-mixing, underpainting to complete painting and Stedham Method of non-toxic painting and clean up.
Instructor will offer demos, discussions and guided instruction as well as independent painting time.
Level: All Levels, first timers to experienced artists are welcome! Take your paintings to a new level and join us for this dynamic workshop!

Artist Bio:
Kathryn Stedham has been a professional artist for over 35 years and her paintings are featured in public and private collections throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, and Canada. Stedham first received her training as an academic realist, with her interest evolving into the gestural Alla Prima painting style for which she is known today. Her approach combines representational forms with an expressionist modernist sensibility. Stedham is a Holbein Artist Materials sponsored artist since 2018 and is represented by Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe.
