One Day Sublime Landscape Painting Workshop in Oil or Acrylic by Cheryl Kelley | Thursday July 11th, 2024 | 1:00pm-4:00pm | for $80.00 + Tax 

This is a 3 hour workshop where we will explore landscape painting from photographs in your choice of oil or acrylic. I will teach various techniques in your medium of choice and answer any questions regarding style.
Since we are not able to go out and do Plein air painting, please bring a couple of photographs with you to work from. Any type of canvas or panel is acceptable.
In this class, you may work in oil or acrylic.
Materials List:
Paints: Either Oil or Acrylic:
  • Cadmium red
  • Ultramarine Blue
  • Cadmium Yellow
  • Magenta
  • Phthalo Green
  • Ivory Black
  • Titanium White
  • Burnt Umber
  • Burnt Sienna
  • Yellow Ochre
Medium: 
  • If using Oil, Gamsol or similar
  • If using Acrylic, Fluid medium
Set of basic brushes including small rounds. Synthetic is fine.
Small canvas or painting panel, 8 x 10″ , 9 x 12″ or  11 x 14″ or similar.

Medium: Open to Oil and Acrylic Painters, Cheryl Kelley will be painting in Oil

Artist Bio:

Cheryl Kelley is an internationally recognized photorealist oil painter. She has worked with Bernaducci Meisel Gallery in NYC, is currently showing with Anthony Brunelli Fine Art in NY,  as well as Tangent gallery in San Francisco. She is new to Santa Fe but has shown with Evoke Contemporary in the railyard. She is well known for her feminine, sensual and reflective paintings of classic cars. Her work has been featured in prominent publications such as the New York Times, the New York Sun, the Village Voice, Art News, American Art collector, New American Painting, and a host of other periodicals. Her work has been shown in museums and art fairs around the world. Her body of work of classic car paintings is monumental and she continues to be very prolific. Recently her focus has shifted to portraits and landscapes, and she hopes to make her presence known on the Santa Fe art scene. Over the years, Cheryl has taught private and classroom painting classes to children and adults. She enjoys creating confidence in her students.
