Impasto Landscape in Acrylic | Monday January 22nd, 2024 | One Day 3-Hour Workshop | 1:00pm-4:00pm | for $115.00 + Tax
During this three hour workshop, Melanie M Brannan, Certified Educator for Golden Artist Colors will teach how to paint an impasto landscape.
Using palette knives and the sgraffito technique on a 12 x 12″ wood panel, you will create a beautiful landscape. Working with Golden’s Acrylic Heavy Body and Fluids, Melanie will introduce Golden Light Molding Paste to build a beautifully textured piece. This painting is thrilling to watch develop as the fields and plains start to appear from the tones in the background. You can either follow along with the instructor, or paint your own landscape.
In addition to finishing an impasto landscape, you will create two color charts using Golden pure hues with their acrylic Interference and Iridescent paints. The results of this exercise will show the endless possibilities of color mixing with these paints. And, all students will receive a hand-painted color chart from Golden.

Artist Bio:
Melanie has been creating all her life. Her early working years were spent as an art director in the corporate world for large international advertising agencies in
Dallas. In 1985, she founded her own graphic design firm and had an impressive client list including Neiman Marcus and D/FW International Airport. After a long, prolific design career, she went back to her first love…painting. Melanie has shown in national juried exhibitions from New York to San Diego. Her work is in private and corporate collections across the US and abroad. She has taught workshops in France, Italy, Texas, New Mexico, and many other states. Melanie
has painted exclusively with GOLDEN Artist Colors since 2009. In 2017, GOLDEN trained her to become a Certified Educator for this premium line of
paints, pastes and gels. She joined this elite group of 200 international artists to become the North Texas Educator for GOLDEN.
